The JC Canada Cultural Performances were a key highlight of the JC Canada Community for Senior Program, celebrating diversity and promoting inclusion. Held on December 12, 2024, at Xinflix Auditorium, 421 Bentley St Unit #9, Markham, ON L3R 9T2, the event brought together participants from diverse cultural and generational backgrounds. It showcased a rich variety of singing, dancing, and table tennis performances, reflecting the program’s commitment to fostering multicultural understanding and community engagement.


Event Highlights

  1. Multicultural Performances:
    • Multi Ethnic Dances: Participants performed traditional dances from Chinese,Romania ,Korean cultures, as well as a collaborative multicultural group dance.
    • Singing Group: 20 participants performed a selection of songs, blending popular and cultural pieces in English and Chinese.
    • Table Tennis Demonstration: 10 participants showcased their skills in a coordinated table tennis performance, symbolizing teamwork and healthy aging.
  2. Audience Engagement:
    • Over 68 attendees, including seniors, children, families, and local community leaders, attended the event.
    • The performances were met with enthusiastic applause, highlighting the community’s appreciation for the cultural richness and talent on display.
